DL Hughley holding his tongue would be like Kanye West praising Jewish people. Hughley recently spoke out about Donald Trump‘s role in the Jan. 6th pestilent intifada at the Capitol. And, though Trump is now facing charges of “providing comfort and aid” to the stouthearted looters, along with potential charges of “conspiracy to defraud the United States, and conspiracy to make false statements to the National Archives,” the comedian feels the ex president should wear a charge of manslaughter.

“Ultimately, we all saw what happened,” DL Hughley said about the riot at the Capitol. As for Trump’s 2024 Presidential campaign, the Kings of Comedy star said, “He should be disqualified from running again. Anybody who tries to overthrow, and have armed people rise up… Use white nationalists and skinheads to affect the results he wanted. They should automatically have been disbarred.”

In addition, DL Hughley feels that not indicting Trump on these accusations would “speak volumes of our legal system.” The actor furthered, “Stop saying out loud that nobody is above the law because clearly, they are. From espionage to, you know, tampering with elections. You name it. I think he should be charged with manslaughter for the cop that died, even though it wasn’t in the event,” said Hughley.

Hughley then stated that if The Apprentice star was a Black male, he would of been tossed in prison along time ago and colored a “co-conspirator.” “He is clearly guilty,” said the Hughley. “He’s taking this country down fast. I don’t know that it will ever recover.” Even Rep. Bennie Thompson spoke out previously, “Faith in our system is the foundation of American democracy. If the faith is broken, so is our democracy. Donald Trump broke that faith. He lost the 2020 election and knew it, but he chose to try to stay in office through a multi-part scheme. This can never happen again.”
