Following an appearance on the red carpet, Nia Long and Omarion have become the hot topic of gossip publications everywhere. The former “Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood” cast member sparked dating rumors after posting a video on Twitter earlier this week, that saw him taking flicks with the “Big Momma’s House” star at the premiere of her newest motion picture. After posing and shooting a photo together, the 52-year-old actress grabbed Omarion’s hand, and walked with him down the red carpet as she continued swaying past the row of photojournalists.

Via social media, the former B2K lead singer shared the moment minus a caption, other than a smiley face emoji. Nevertheless, online spectators began theorizing about the relation between the two entertainers. The “Involved” singer’s tweet (which has since been retweeted roughly 15,000 times and viewed more than 12 million times) at length made its way fast around Instagram, becoming the sizzling topic on gossip and celebrity news pages. Nia Long, eventually catching wind that fans were saying she and Omarion were dating, spoke up to clear the air.

The “In Too Deep” star jumped in the comment section to shed light on her relationship status after seeing Omarion‘s clip on The Shade Room‘s feed, posting: “Everybody simmer down… I’m single AF [wink-kiss emoji].” Nia Long‘s last relationship was with Ime Udoka, an ex Boston Celtics head coach; the engaged couple called it quits in December 2022. Udoka was ultimately suspended from the NBA team after allegedly having an affair with a woman inside the Celtic’s organization. The former coach apologized to his team later, yet had nothing more to say.

Long released a statement after the Celtics suspended Udoka. “The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and the community during this difficult time means so much to me,” the actress emotively shared. “I ask that my privacy be respected as I process the recent events. Above all, I am a mother and will continue to focus on my children.” Udoka and “The Best Man” actress were together for 13 years, and the former couple share a son, Kez, 11; Long also has another son, Massai, 22, from a previous relationship.
