Well, it looks like it’s a wrap for Jonathan Majors’ US Army campaign. Following the actor’s arrest on Saturday (Mar. 25), the US Army has suspended its brand-new, multimillion-dollar advertising partnership with the California native.
After Majors was detained the previous day, officials stated the advertisement collaboration was put on hold Sunday (Mar. 26). He served as the voiceover actor for the “Be All You Can Be” commercials.
According to Army Times, Majors is accused of assault, harassment, and strangulation. Army Enterprise Marketing Office spokesperson, Laura DeFrancisco, stated, “The US Army is aware of the arrest of Jonathan Majors and we are deeply concerned by the allegations surrounding his arrest.”
A 30-year-old lady and Majors were involved in what the authorities refer to as “a domestic quarrel,” during which the woman suffered head and neck injuries. After conducting a “preliminary investigation,” police detained the Lovecraft Country trouper.
DeFrancisco furthered, “While Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete.”

The 2023 NCAA men’s college basketball tournament, whose Final Four and championship are approaching, was planned to feature the Army advertisement prominently in the coverage.
The Army Times also claimed that the advertising campaign would boast immersive in-person activities throughout the Final Four, but it is not yet known whether such plans will materialize.
Criminal defense attorney Priya Chaudhry spoke on behalf of Majors in a statement. “Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows. We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently. This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.”
The attorney continued, “All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever. Unfortunately, this incident came about because this woman was having an emotional crisis, for which she was taken to a hospital yesterday. The NYPD is required to make an arrest in these situations, and this is the only reason Mr. Majors was arrested. We expect these charges to be dropped soon.”
