The celebrity breakups in 2023 have been WILD to say the least. Teyana Taylor and Iman Strumpert as been one of the hardest breakups to hear but they are just a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of celebrities that have broken up this year.

Jeezy and Jeannie Mai-Jenkins
Jeezy filed for divorce from Jeannie Mai in July 2023 even though he has stated that love and respect remains. According to documents obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Consitution, the musician filed for divorce at a Fulton County Court on September 14–approximately two and a half years after Jeezy and Jeannie tied the knot in Atlanta, Georgia. Jeannie Mai was “devastated” that Jeezy filed for divorce and claimed she found out with the rest of the world. The latest upset in their divorce filing is that Jeannie accused Jeezy of having an affair during their marriage.
Eva Marcille and Michael Sterling
Eva Marcille, Real Housewives of Atlanta star, and Michael Sterling called it quits after four years of marriage, according to People. Eva filed for divorce on March 23, stating that their marriage is “irretrievably broken”. The pair married on Oct. 7, 2018, and “are currently living in a bona fide state of separation,” Marcille’s attorneys wrote in the filing. They share three children.
Drew Sidora and Ralph Pittman
According to Insider, Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Drew Sidora and Ralph Pittman filed for divorce after nine years of marriage… In a statement, Sidora said that she hopes they can remain friends and co-parent the two children they share, as well as Sidora’s son from a previous relationship… In divorce filings, Sidora alleged that Pittman was a “serial cheater” and that he mentally abused her…
Teyana Taylor and Iman Strumpert
Parle writer, Nia Bennet, reported that on Sunday after (September 17th), Teyana Taylor confirmed the split from Iman in a social media post. They seemed to have parted amicably at first but documents surfaced stating that Teyana claimed Iman displaying extreme narcissistic behavior throughout the majority of their marriage and felt threatened by his behavior. In court documents acquired by TMZ, Shumpert claims Teyana never established that he made her feel threatened, even though Teyana made the accusation in her recently filed divorce papers. While divorce filings are happening, they have both made it clear that they are putting their children first.
Megan Thee Stallion and Pardi
Megan Thee Stallion and Pardison Fontaine aka Pardi were once a match made in heaven, at least that’s what fans thought before the couple split. While both have been quiet about the reasons behind their breakup, Meg finally gave insight with her song, “Cobra”. Meg rapped the following lyrics: “Pulled up, caught him cheatin’, gettin’ his d*ck sucked in the same spot I’m sleeping.” Fans had a field day defending their fav.
Recently, Pardi was on The Breakfast Club discussing how he felt about the song and claiming he still loves her. Meg responded to him on IG live, among other people, stating if it wasn’t true than why did he respond? head tilt Clearly, they did not leave on good terms.
Cardi B and Offset
Cardi B confirmed that she and Offset have separated after news broke that they unfollowed each other on social media. She mentioned people grow apart and she’s been single for some time now. Offset has a history of cheating on Cardi B. Recent allegations have been from Blueface claiming Chrisean slept with Offset. Offset denies it completely.
Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds
According to People, Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds announced on social media that they have ended their engagement on Dec 3rd.
“To EVERYONE who has been there for us, supported us, and shown us love…We have mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life AS FRIENDS and have made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared together,” the pair wrote in a joint statement on her Instagram page.
“Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this transition. Thank you for being there for us ALL THESE YEARS! We love you and appreciate you SO MUCH!” she concluded, adding praying hands and a red heart emoji.
Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict
Tia Mowry filed for divorce from her husband, Cory Hardrict on October 4, 2022. Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict have been married for 14 years and the union seems to have come to an end. Not only is this news sad but also shocking as well as Tia and her now ex-husband is known for being a power couple, especially in the black community. Their divorce was finalized on April 25, 2023, according to ET Online.
Lori Harvey and Damson Idris
Parle writer, Olakunle Olabode, reported that Lori Harvey and Damson Idris’s broke up on November 6th when both individuals deleted the other from their social media posts. A day after this they also attended Odell Beckham Jr’s party separately, which further ignited the rumor. The rumors are however now confirmed and the two love birds have indeed gone their separate ways…on seemingly good terms. According to her and Damson in an interview with the Hollywood reporter, she said, “We are at a point in our lives where our paths require our full attention and dedication, We part ways, remaining friends with nothing but love and respect for each other and the time we shared together.”
KeKe Palmer and Darius Jackson
KeKe Palmer broke up with Darius Jackson and filed a restraining order against him stating that he was abusive for the two years they were in a relationship. Jackson allegedly physically and emotionally abused Palmer and threatened to kill himself if she left him. He also went inside her home when she wasn’t there and without her knowledge or consent. The abuse was captured on camera. Palmer also requested full custody of their 8-month-old son, Leodis aka Leo stating Jackson posed a danger to their son. Jackson has denied those allegations.
Tina Knowles and Richard Lawson
According to Page Six, Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, filed for divorce from her second husband, Richard Lawson, on July 26. They were friends for decades before they decided to give romance a try in 2013. Two years later they wed during a stunning ceremony on a yacht in Newport Beach, California. Ms. Tina cited the reasoning as “irreconcilable differences”.
