Many Networks are making changes, which might cause viewers to say goodbye to some of their favorite shows. In 2026, these tv shows and series are ending either because they didn’t have enough viewers or because the creators planned a proper ending. Regardless of the reason, loyal fans have to bid goodbye to amazing acts, scripts, and cast who have kept them entertained up till now.

Some shows were cancelled early because they did not reach enough people or keep viewers engaged. Other shows reached the end of their stories and finished the way they were meant to. However, these are your favorite shows and tv series that would not be returning in 2026. Here is the list and the reason for the cancellation

8 TV Shows & Series Cancelled or Ending in 2026

The Vince Staples Show — Netflix

The Vince Staples Show is a funny TV series starring the rapper Vince Staples. In the show, Vince plays a made‑up version of himself living in Long Beach, California. The story has strange and creative moments. It has real life with funny, unreal stuff to show what Vince deals with as a young artist.

Netflix cancelled it in January 2026 after two seasons. The show’s first season had more people watching, but the second season did not get enough viewers overall. Even though critics and some fans liked it, the viewership numbers were low and the show didn’t reach a big audience.

The Abandons — Netflix

The Abandons is a Western drama set in the 1850s Old West. It follows Fiona Nolan and a “found family” of orphan adults as they try to survive and protect their land from powerful people. It had stars like Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson.

Netflix cancelled the show after one season in 2026. At first the show got some views and even made Netflix’s top 10 for a short time. But after the first weeks, viewers stopped watching as much, and interest dropped. Netflix decided not to make a second season because it wasn’t popular enough for them to keep going.

The show debuted in June 2025, but Netflix cancelled it after only one season by August 2025. The reason was similar to other cancelled shows, it did not attract enough viewers to justify more episodes. Netflix chose to stop the series early even though some people liked it.

The Witcher — Netflix

Netflix has confirmed that Season 5 will be the final season of The Witcher in 2026. This end is planned, not a sudden cancellation. The creators are finishing the story they wanted to tell, so fans will see a proper conclusion instead of an unfinished one.
