Singer, producer, songwriter and all around R&B royalty, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds has released his latest single, “We’ve Got Love.” The new song is the first new music from the 11 time Grammy Awards winner since last year’s duet album with Toni Braxton, titled, Love. Marriage & Divorce. “We’ve Got Love” is the first from Babyface’s upcoming album, Return of the Tender Lover.
Return of the Tender Lover features just eight new songs, but if “We’ve Got Love” is any indication, it’s going to be full of contemporary R&B hits. The album will be released via Def Jam Recordings and it will be Babyface’s 10th studio album. The title is a play on his second LP, Tender Lover, released back in 1989, which included the hits, “It’s No Crime”, “Tender Love” and “Whip Appeal” among others.
