The debut album from Jidenna is Here. The Wisconsin Rapids native, with Nigerian roots made it big when he linked with Janelle Monae. She signed him to her Wondaland Records imprint and he started creating his buzz about a year ago in 2016. Now the Jidenna The Chief album helps him really make his mark on the game. The album has made Jidenna known throughout the Hip-Hop and Rap genre as an upcoming singer.
Currently a resident of East Flatbush, Brooklyn, his music is just as electric as where has resided. The Chief is a true cultural representation of Jidenna, the artist and the man.
Clearly missing from the Jidenna The Chief album is his debut single, “Classic Man” and the stellar remix which featured Kendrick Lamar. The single has a meaningful meaning on what it means to be a classic man and would have fit well into the astounding album.
