Hip-Hop Mogul Puff Daddy Releases “Watcha Gon’ Do?” Ft. Biggie & Rick Ross

Puff Daddy is a multi-millionaire mogul, known for being a music legend, rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, and entrepreneur. Puff has been around the entertainment industry for over thirty years and has yet failed to deliver great music. He is highly respected for being around the era of when Biggie and Tupac were alive and making music. In 1993 he started his own production company called Bad Boy Entertainment. This provided him the opportunity to sign and work with former rapper and lifetime music legend Biggie Smalls, also known as Biggie.

The rapper Biggie Smalls was said to be one of the greatest rappers of all time, releasing hit songs under bad boy entertainment such as “Big Poppa/Warning” which hit number six on the Billboard 100 charts in 1995 and “Mo Money Mo Problems” which features Puff Daddy himself alongside Mase, and hit number one on the Billboard 100 for two weeks in 1997.

Although 1997 was the year Biggie Smalls faced a tragic and public death, Puff Daddy along with others continued to keep his name and music alive. Shortly after Biggie’s death, Puff released a tribute song titled “I’ll be missing you” the song made the Billboard singles charts and remained there for eleven weeks, helping his first album “No Way Out” reach platinum status.

It has been 20 years since the release of his album No way Out on July 1, and now Puff Daddy has finally released the follow-up album “No Way Out 2” which is his sixth and final studio album to be released this month. In an interview with People Magazine in 2016 Puff says, “I’m going to put out my last album and devote 100 percent of my time to doing films,” he continues to say, “I want to stop at a great place…A final album is a great place to stop. I want to take a victory lap, to do a world tour and really enjoy it one last time.”

The first single being released off the album is titled “Watcha Gon’ do?” and features Biggie and Rick Ross. Despite most fans expecting and/or hoping for a Biggie verse that is unreleased the song carries over Biggie’s verse from “Hustlers Story” which also featured Scarface, Big Gee and Akon in 2005. The single was released Saturday, July 22, 2017, on OVO sound radio where you can visit their site and replay episode 48 to hear it but the single can also be found and played at your convenience on Youtube.
