Talib Kweli Reveals New Music, Announces ‘Radio Silence’ Album

Months after releasing his joint project The Seven with Hip-Hop artist Styles P, Talib Kweli has announced that a new album, Talib Kweli Radio Silence will be arriving November 17th.

This will be Talib Kweli’s first solo album since 2015’s Fuck the Money. The Brooklyn native hasn’t been quiet since the last solo release, but has been featured on many different projects from artist such as Anderson. Paak and A Tribe Called Quest.

The new album Talib Kweli Radio Silence album will be 11 tracks long and will feature Anderson.Paak, Jay Electronica, Rick Ross, Waka Flocka, BJ the Chicago Kid and more to add jazz to this project.

Ahead of the album the first single to be released was “Heads Up Eyes Open”, which features a verse from Rick Ross and vocals from Yummy Bingham. The second single, which was recently released is a track titled “She’s My Hero”.  On it, Talib Kweli raps a dedication to a young girl that was a victim of domestic abuse. Even more recently a third single was released titled, “Let it Roll.”

This year also marks the 15th year since Talib Kweli released his magnum opus album, Quality. Talib Kweli has announced a solo residency to take place at New York City’s Blue Note with selected dates in November and in January.
