Juelz Santana Runs After Being Caught with Gun at New Jersey Airport, Social Media Reacts
Dipset rapper Juelz Santana allegedly fled from TSA agents after a gun was found on him at the Newark Liberty International Airport on Friday (March 9th). The Harlem-born emcee, whose real name is LaRon Louis James, was going through a security screening when the weapon was discovered on him, NBC New York reports.
Santana then fled the airport and was said to have gotten into a taxi after TSA found the gun, which was a .38 caliber, in his luggage, along with his passport and ID.
TSA regulations state that weapons are not permitted at the airport and is punishable by a fine. It could also result in an arrest. If the gun is loaded, fines can reach up to $9,800.
Port of Authority officials did not discuss the investigation or speak on the condition of the situation because no arrests have been made.
According to the South Passaic Daily Voice, Juelz Santana has been in contact with authorities to discuss the diplomat’s surrendering. It has not been confirmed yet if Santana turned himself in. However, he does face the possibility of serious prison time, due to a previous felony conviction, which prohibits him from carrying a firearm.
The location of the rapper is currently unknown.
Since the news broke, the 36-year-old has been the victim of countless jokes from social media. Even 50 Cent took to Instagram to poke fun of the affairs, posting a photo of Santana with the caption, “Damn Blood, but what about da Gang. LOL,” with the running man and dash emojis.
