The Bonfyre is a songstress from Atlanta. She was recently signed by L.A. Reid’s new music label, HITCO, in alliance with Raphael Saadiq’s production company, Toler Heights Music. Her debut EP Ready to Love released on August 17th.
The Bonfyre started off promoting her talents on YouTube, uploading covers to different songs. Her covers were discovered by the owner of a Harlem venue, who brought her to the attention of producer Yancey Richardson. Richardson then introduced her to Saadiq, who helped her develop her signature sound.
Though she is new to the music scene, she is extremely passionate. Her dynamic vocals and soulful yet upbeat style will surely take her far. Her music has a nostalgic feel that makes her extremely relatable, and when coupled with her meaningful lyrics, they make for an overall pleasant listening experience.
The Bonfyre has discussed the impact she hopes to have on her listeners:
“With my music, I want to mark people’s memories. I pin music to so many of my memories. I want everybody to be able to do the same. The goal is to resonate on that universal level.”
