BET has premiered an all new original film starring Tasha Smith, RonReaco Lee, and Telma Hopkins, titled, Running Out of Time.
Running Out of Time is directed by Chris Stokes. If you can remember, he was the manager of B2K, Marques Houston and several other artists. Stokes was also the founder of T.U.G. Entertainment, the label for those artists. Running Out of Time was also co-written by Stokes and Marques Houston.
Chris Stokes and Marques Houston last worked on the film ‘Til Death Do Us Part, which premiered in theaters in 2017 starring Annie Ilonzeh and Taye Diggs.
Running Out of Time synopsis
Brenda Harper (Tasha Smith) went through the tragic and sudden death of her husband. While becoming a new widow, Brenda has to take care of teenage daughter and her mom who is going through poor health issues. Brenda has always benefited from her husband’s valuable things, which is money, property, and most importantly, a unknown file she never seen. Brenda is been told the information by her husband’s close friend that the file is hidden inside their house, so they think when they are all taken hostage at Brenda’s summer home by two guys in a mask who are threatening to kill them one by one if they don’t turn over the file. While struggling to come up with an answer, Brenda, her daughter, mother, and Cain are trapped and tied up until the two masked men get what they want. With time running out, Brenda tries her best to find a solution to ensure her family’s survival and fight for their lives.
