Bravo has begun production on the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Variety unveiled the official cast announcement for the new season. The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14 cast includes returning familiar faces Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore and Drew Sidora. Besides that there are are some changes, which was expected since it was already announced that Cynthia Bailey, Porsha Williams and Nene Leakes would not be returning.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14 cast will include some familiar returning faces in Shereé Whitfield and Marlo Hampton. Marlo has been a longtime friend of the RHOA, so its nice to see that she has finally gotten her peach. Shereé Whitfield was on Seasons 1-4. She returned as a “friend” for the show’s eighth season, and was a full-time member of the cast in Seasons 9 and 10. In season 10 we were introduced to her boyfriend Tyrone Gilliams, who was serving 10 years in prison for wire fraud. Tyrone is home now and the couple are still together and doing well. Tyrone will appear on the new season as well.
Five-time Olympian, and four-time gold medalist, track star Sanya Richards-Ross will also be joining the Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14 cast. Sanya previously was seen on reality television in WeTV’s “Sanya’s Glam and Gold,” about her family and marriage to former NFL cornerback Aaron Ross.
Variety also reported that none of the “friends” from last season will return for the show’s 14th season. So we won’t see Tanya Sam, who disppeared from filming in Season 13 after she was accused of having a threesome with Williams and Bolo, the stripper. Nor will we see Latoya Ali, who bonded with Moore (until she didn’t), and clashed with Sidora. Falynn Guobadia also won’t be back this season, which will be a disappointment to those who would have wanted to hear her talk about the messiness that Williams is now engaged to her recently ex-husband, Simon.
