Tammy Rivera Malphurs Puts CVS Worker on Blast
Sadly, in 2021, racism is still very much alive. Songstress and TV personality Tammy Rivera Malphurs recently outed a CVS employee for criminally characterizing her.
The Tammy Rivera Malphurs racially profiled incident, which was posted to Malphurs’ Instagram account, apparently went down during a routine late-night run that Malphurs was making to the store.
The “Babymama” singer stated that a manager, by the name of Ginger, followed her from aisle-to-aisle, as she casually searched for her items. Deciding against paying it any mind, Malphurs continued to gather her needs… until things took an unexpected turn for the worse.
“I’m in CVS. I come here almost every other night. I know every person that works in this store. I came here to get a satin hair wrap and some Doo Gro Oil,” Malphurs said before pointing the camera at the woman. “This lady sat here—she must be new—she sat here, and she watched me on the aisle. [She was] acting like she was fixing stuff on the aisle. I’m watching her watch me, right?!”
Once Malphurs obtained her products, she said that she then went to open the package of a head wrap that she was about to purchase, and the worker scoffed. From there, it progressed.
“She [was] watching me so hard that when I opened this package, she said, ‘Don’t do that!'” Malphurs explained to who we’re assuming was another person inside of the facility. “I said, ‘Who you talking to?’ [She said, again,] ‘Don’t do that!’ I said, ‘If I’m buying this, I can do what I want!’ [She replied,] ‘No, you cannot! Don’t do that!”

As Malphurs gave a description of what happened in the well over one-minute clip, the manager stood off to the side, denying Malphurs’ version of the story and even finding amusement in the situation.
An hour after the debacle was uploaded to Malphurs’ social media, she posted another video to her IGTV, detailing everything in depth and tagging the official CVS Pharmacy Instagram page.
“I’m disgusted in the lack of customer service, the disrespect, and the racist profiling I experienced tonight,” Malphurs wrote in the caption.

We’re hoping that Ginger receives some sort of consequence for her unruly and unprofessional actions.
