Rapper 27Delly Makes History With NFT Visuals; Get To Know The ‘Fly Guy’

Everybody knows that people from Uptown do their own thing.  Rapper, 27Delly is the latest in a long line of rap superstars to come from Uptown, NYC. 27Delly released the visual for his single, “Fly Guys” last month, which also featured a special NFT music video release.

In 2020, 27Delly released his debut EP, Twenty7.  At the time he was just going by Delly.  Last year, he followed it up with Fly Since Birth, which also featured an extended version release.  In addition to the success of his solo project, he was featured on two songs for the ‘Insecure’ Season 5 Soundtrack.

He’s been ahead of the game with the NFT market, already releasing 4 sold-out NFT’s, which have grossed over $30,000.  The release of “Fly Guys” as an NFT just made great business sense.  He partnered with Glass, which allows fans to gain ownership of the visual.  “Fly Guys” is featured on his sophomore project, Fly Since Birth.

According to Coinbase, NFTs (or “non-fungible tokens”) are a special kind of cryptoasset in which each token is unique — as opposed to “fungible” assets like Bitcoin and dollar bills, which are all worth exactly the same amount. Because every NFT is unique, they can be used to authenticate ownership of digital assets like artworks, recordings, and virtual real estate or pets.
