Crystal Renay Smith, the wife of singer-songwriter, Ne-Yo made an interesting announcement on Instagram. She stated she was officially going to split from her husband. Crystal Smith cited infidelity as the reason for her decision. Also, she added that her famous husband was still cheating on her. Crystal Smith accuses Ne-Yo of cheating with the post reading “8 years of deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and my husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected…every last one of them”
Crystal stated her feeling o the matter when she wrote “To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it as it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist.
“I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn’t. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect”
Crystal Smith nee Renay, who is not a celebrity herself has been married to Ne-Yo since 2016 during an Oceanside ceremony and they have been blessed with three children.
In reference to this she states, “I gained 3 beautiful children out of this but nothing else but wasted years and heartache”
What makes this news most heart wrenching is the fact that they recently renewed their vows in April and have shown up in several events as a happy family.
Many people were happy to see this as they hit a rough patch in February 2020 and were on the brink of divorce but reconciled only four months later during the quarantine. Ne-Yo had claimed that he and Smith had managed to work through their marriage issues claiming the pandemic helped then address their problems while blocking out the noise from the outside world. But clearly, there were still some issues in the nooks and crannies.
It seems that Crystal has been harassed by people sending her proof of Ne-Yo’s infidelity because she adds in her post “I ask that you all please stop sending m videos or information of him cheating on me because what he does is no longer my concern. I am not a victim. “I am choosing to stand tall with my head held high. If someone can’t love you the way you deserve then it’s up to you to love yourself. With no hate in my heart I wish him nothing but the best,” she concludes.
The bee in the bonnet came when the post announcing their separation was liked by none other than Ne-Yo himself. Now, the meaning of this is open to interpretation.
