Naomi Osaka triggered all of the “good guys” with her recent tweet.

Yesterday, the acclaimed Japanese tennis player took to her Twitter account to share her thoughts on men, and fellow users of the networking site had a lot to say about it.

“If a guy constantly has to tell you he’s a good guy there’s about a 1000% chance he’s not,” Osaka wrote to her 1.1 million followers on the platform.

She then added to that by saying in the next tweet, “prove me wrong tho.”

Following her statement, tweeters filled the replies with their opinions. Some agreeing, most agreeing to disagree, others wondering if the 24-year-old’s words had anything to do with her reported, rapper boyfriend, Cordae.

Check out what the people had to say here…

What show and proof a guy or a woman is a good person is his/her actions ! Todays world is more concern with what’s is said then done !!

— Gianpaulo Scaciota (@GianSca1970) June 30, 2022

Trust ’em when they show you who they are. Words mean little when one’s actions contradict those words.

😂 It’s like the guy who starts every 2nd sentence with the word “Honestly” and he most certainly isn’t.

— BoomerBabe ☯️ 🕉️ (@BoomerBabe7) June 30, 2022

What if she has been the one asking?

— ochuko (@chukylee) June 30, 2022

Unless his name is Good guy 😬

Just do it and stop saying it, I guess.

— Aaron B (@thatAaronB) June 30, 2022

I would say stay away from a guy like that.

— Dave Kerner (@DaveKerner) June 30, 2022

Nah …I AM A GOOD GUY

You just signed him up in your sport agency girl make up your mind

‼️📌….I say this all the time. Most of the self proclaimed “good guys” are just measuring themselves up against friends/guys they know who is “unapologetic f*ckboys”. Being a good human is an intentional characteristic (both genders)

— STE🦊~ Steph Ox (@PhoxyOxy) June 30, 2022

OMG! How dare you! Us good guys have to remind you females we are good because you all love those bad boys soooooo much. If we don’t yell it from the rooftops, YOU AINT GONE SEE US!

— Breland’s Universe (@brelanduniverse) June 30, 2022

Probably ya right, and also the same can be applied to a woman as well..overall honesty is best in a friendship or relationship in my opinion. ‘NAOMI’..respectfully. 😎💯🌹

— ROBERT’GKLEFF’MOORE (@gkleff49) June 30, 2022

RED flag language 4sure – trying to convince you/manipulate you versus BEING a good guy DOING good♥️

— Kathleen Mac (@CartKma) June 30, 2022

If yall consistently assume we are doing wrong we have no choice but to let you know we are good people and explain what was really going on. But some of yall be so damn stubborn yall don’t even care what we say and just think we lying all the damn time.
-Me (a good guy)🙃

You should have enough experience

— Bayode Abiodun (@Logicmanna) June 30, 2022

Funny thing is, I think when someone says that, they are less trying to convince the other person and more trying to trick themselves.

— Wesley B. (@thepowerbauer) June 30, 2022

Cordae I’m under your bed 🔪🔪

Just like in tennis, say nothing and let your game speak for you

— Neil Baron (@NeilBaron121212) June 30, 2022

What did cordae do this time?

— yoursonly (@ichbinJeremiah) June 30, 2022

What man (or woman) constantly tells Someone verbally they are a good person? That would be a red flag from jump.

What if I am constantly telling u I am a bad guy?

— Hiren Drall (@DrallHiren) June 30, 2022

Oh no, not you firing shots in these social media streets. This ain’t our business, queen 😭.

— Brian (@pabrrog) June 30, 2022

So we now have to use the reverse psychology?
