Balenciaga’s Recent Failed Campaign
Kim Kardashian is breaking her silence on Balenciaga’s recent failed teddy bear campaign. The Balenciaga campaign featured photos of children cuddling teddy bears that were dressed in bondage. The campaign sparked an outrage on social media as people began accusing Balenciaga of sexualizing children in their campaign photos. People are also concerned about documents in the campaign seeming to be a court ruling about child pornography.
In response to the situation, the luxury brand Balenciaga took to their Instagram page announcing the removal of the campaign. Balenciaga also made another statement apologizing for the campaign, “we apologize for displaying unsettling documents in our campaign. We take this matter very seriously and we are taking legal action against the parties responsible for creating the set and including unapproved items for our spring 23 campaign photo shoot. We strongly condemn abuse of children in any form.” They finish by saying, “we stand for children safety and well-being.”
Despite the luxury brand apologizing, many people were still left with a salty taste in their mouth. A lot of people were also waiting to hear what Kim Kardashian had to say. She is the face of the luxury brand, and a mother of four. Although it has been a few days since the incident happened, she has finally decided take to social media sharing her thoughts.
