Are TLC’s Chilli and Matthew Lawrence having kids soon?
The singer has revealed her current stance on starting a family with her Boy Meets World bae, Mr. Lawrence.
Chilli sat down for an interview with Ryan Cameron: Uncensored and discussed the idea of more children. According to reports, the 52-year-old cleared the air about what her boyfriend (Lawrence) said in his recent interview, which led others to believe that the two were actively trying for a child.
When asked if “starting a family” was in the future cards for him, Lawrence told Entertainment Tonight, “I hope. That’s the game plan. That’s what we’re trying to do.”
But, Chilli told Ryan Cameron that his words were taken out of context. Allegedly, Lawrence was referring to experiencing fatherhood alongside his brother, Joe.
Are Chilli and Matthew Lawrence Having Kids Together Someday?
Chilli said, “They didn’t show that part but when you go on there and you see the whole interview, then you see he was not talking about us working on having a baby… because that’s not what’s happening.”
Lawrence later set the record straight with a statement of his own:
“It’s such an interesting story. Joe and I were commiserating about this plan that we had to have children together when we were growing up. And I missed the first go around and now he’s starting a new family and I was thinking, ‘Man, it’d be great if we could do it again… when I didn’t have the chance to raise a family together.'”
He added, “So that’s what I meant by that. I didn’t mean to put any pressure on somebody I was dating or anything.”
Despite the mix-up, Chilli did say “you never know” when answering if she’d like to expand her family and followed up with “I would never say that [I’m done].”
The “No Scrubs” phenomenon revealed that her only condition was to get married before bringing more kids into the equation.
“I gotta be married for sure, and I’m not married, yet,” she expressed.
Chilli currently has one son who she shares with her ex, Dallas Austin. Her son, Tron Austin, is 25 years old and is a budding musician just like his mother.
