Quavo has teamed up with Future for the new track “Turn Your Clic Up.” The party track is aimed at Quavo’s enemies. Even Future had shots to send at his own opps.
“Turn Your Clic Up” is produced by Macshooter, Atake, and a few other producers. You hear Quavo rapping on the chorus, “He want the scoop, she want the tea” about people wanting to know the situation that happened in Houston on November 2022 with the death of Migos’ member Takeoff. Then to add, “I can not speak, we keeping it street,” saying the situation he doesn’t have words for people wanting to know. You were either there or you weren’t. Quavo Huncho states that the past event was a loss, but he will still win.
The Huncho opening bar on his verse was “If my dawg get low on his pockets, I’m pickin’ em’ up. We came from the bottom together, my nigga, we get it, we splittin’ it up.” Stating he will always have the spirit of a migo. He also raps that he is feeling like Puffy and Russ as he goes on chanting lyrics with hints of war essences.
Future’s verse lets us know his big dawg status. Buying out Atlanta’s famous Lennox Mall for his brothers. He even sends shots at his baby mothers and past lovers with the line, ‘I got it out the field, fuck Russell, Go and ask Lori about the Patek, then go and ask Joie ask Dess Phillipe water.’
Quavo released the songs Without You, Greatness, and Honey Bun earlier this year. These songs come after the death of Migos member Takeoff who lost his life to gun violence. For the 2023 BET Awards, Quavo and Offset reunited for a tribute to Takeoff.
