Usher is primed to take the Super Bowl stage by storm.

Following the announcement that he will be the main attraction at the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show, the Confessions album crafter chatted with Rachel Smith (ET) and gave fans a preview of what to anticipate from the high-profile show.

“This is a celebration of my legacy. It’s a celebration of my music. It’s a celebration of my passion,” Usher expressed. “Thirty years ago that journey started and now it’s landed me at this point in my life at the Super Bowl. Lot of songs, lot of moments, lot of dance, lot of energy.”

Usher said that selecting the set list has been the most difficult aspect of Super Bowl preparation.

“You’ve got 13 minutes in order to get through an entire legacy of music,” he said so before expressing his feelings about the performance.

“The fact that I have my friends and new people to celebrate with is ultimately what’s driving me and building my anticipation and excitement … I don’t take it for granted,” said the pop star. “My mother talked about this moment many years ago actually and there was the thought that maybe it wouldn’t come. It was just a matter of time and making certain that the moment was right.”

Then, Usher made a suggestion about more performers showing up for the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show. The 45-year-old singer declared: “I’ve also collaborated with a lot of people in the process, so… there’s a celebration there.”

Usher has written songs alongside artists like Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Diddy, 21 Savage, Lil Jon, Alicia Keys, Young Jeezy, Summer Walker, City Girls, and will.i.am during the course of his four-decade career.
