The divorce of Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor has been in the news recently. By denying Teyana’s claim, Iman Shumpert is putting an end to the speculation.
Court documents acquired by TMZ, Shumpert claims Teyana never established that he made her feel threatened, even though Teyana made the accusation in her recently filed divorce papers.
Almost a year ago, the newly-debutted actress quietly took steps to dissolve their marriage. His jealousy and narcissism during their seven years of marriage were factors in her decision to file for divorce. She claims, “began to intentionally dim her light for her husband to try to have a harmonious and peaceful marriage”.
She claims that Iman is envious of her success and worried about his own worthiness of her, even though he was making more money playing basketball than she could ever hope to make from music.
In the documents, she cited “treating her cruelly and displaying extreme narcissistic behavior throughout the majority of their marriage.” Additionally, she added that it got to a point when he “did not want her to work.”
Teyana Taylor recently appeared in the movie “A Thousand and One” which was nominated for 33rd Gotham Awards 2023 and the Film Independent Spirit Awards. Many people have praised her for her performance and have mentioned her as a star to look forward to in 2024.
Meanwhile, Iman posted a snippet to him on a recent episode of ‘UNINTERRUPTED’ where he was asked, “What went through your head with that dunk?”. The episode is accessible on YouTube.
