Flashback Favorites: The Best Viral Moments of 2024

  • THE RIVALRY BETWEEN DRAKE AND KENDRICK LAMAR CONTINUES!

Two of the biggest names in the rap game, Kendrick Lamar and Drake recently got into the viral spotlight after Kendrick openly dissed Drake in a song by Future and Metro Booming in which Kendrick was featured, “Like That” in the new album, “We Don’t Trust You”.

Kendrick and Drake share a complex past, it all began in 2011 when Kendrick was given an interlude by Drake in his album, “Take Care”. Drake also invited Kendrick Lamar to the Club Paradise tour in which J. Cole, A$ap Rocky, Meek Mill, and many others were also present.

Their once friendly relationship has declined into a feud between a Canadian rapper, and arguably the greatest rapper of all time. On “like That”, Kendrick rapped, “Motherfuck the big three, nigga, it’s just big me, Nigga, bum, what? I’m really like that……”.

Although he didn’t mention any names, the hip-hop fans understand just what he meant and who he was referring to on that verse.

During her opening remarks at the NAACP event, Queen Latifah discussed the challenges that Americans are encountering, such as inflation, prompting Taraji P. Henson to assert that black actresses still experience underpayment in Hollywood.

Queen Latifah then invited all black actresses to rise and be acknowledged as representatives of the community. Just as the stars were preparing to sit back down, Latifah urged them to remain standing and addressed the entire audience, saying,

“Everyone else in this room, please stand up for all the Black actresses who have been advocating for us. Stand with us, support us, join us. Because it’s your solidarity that stands by us every day. We recognize this, and we want to express our gratitude.”
