Nicknamed the “Prince of Soul,” Marvin Gaye was known for his singing and songwriting. Some of his most famous songs include “Let’s Get It On” (1973) and “Mercy Mercy Me” (1971). He won multiple awards including a Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 1983 for “Sexual Healing” and a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Album in 1971 for What’s Going On.

Aretha Franklin was a well known singer and pianist. Some of her well-known songs include “Think” (1968) and “Ever Changing Times” (1967). She was considered the “Queen of Soul” and won many awards. She was the first female artist to be included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and won 18 Grammy awards by 2008.

Known for her singing and acting, Diana Ross has been big in entertainment since the 1960s. She was the lead singer of the group The Supremes with some of their known songs being “You Can’t Hurry Love” (1966) and “Come See About Me” (1964). Some movies she played in include The Wiz (1978) and Mahogany (1975).

Last but not least on our list of Aries celebrities, Skai Jackson is an actress who is best known for her Disney roles. She played as Zuri in the show ‘Jessie’ (2011-2015) and its spin-off ‘Bunk’d’ (2015-2024). She is an activist and spoke out used her platform to speak out against cyberbullying. Jackson was also listed in Time Magazine’s 30 Most Influential Teens of 2016.
