Five years after the tragic death of rapper Mo3, Texas rapper Markies Conway, popularly known as Yella Beezy, has been charged with felony murder by a grand jury. The news of the Yella Beezy arrest hit the internet by storm the last few days.
On Thursday, the 33-year-old rapper was indicted for master-minding the murder of Mo3. Authorities claim that Beezy had hired a man known as Kewon White to kill rival rapper, Mo3 for a price. According to reports, the Dallas-born rapper Mo3 noticed he was being followed and attempted to escape. However, he was shot multiple times in the back as he fled. He was later transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Currently, Kewon White, the alleged hitman, is serving nine years in prison for an unrelated gun crime, awaiting further sentencing in the murder case. Meanwhile, Yella Beezy has been booked into Dallas County Jail, with his bond set at $2 million.
Yella Beezy is famous for his hit trap song, “That’s On Me” from the Lite Work, Vol. 2 mixtape in 2017. The track was widely loved, peaking at #25 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and #56 on the Billboard Hot 100. The remix featured major Hip-Hop stars 2 Chainz, T.I., Rich the Kid, Jeezy, Boosie Badazz, and Trapboy Freddie.
Over the years, Beezy has collaborated with some of the big names, including Chris Brown, Ty Dolla Sign, Young Thug, and Gunna. They did magic with tracks like “Headlock,” (featuring Young Thug) and “Restroom Occupied,” (featuring Chris Brown).
Following the arrest, Mo3’s mother, Nicole William Noble, took to Facebook to express her emotions, writing, “Justice for my baby.”
With the Yella Beezy arrest, and now facing serious murder charges, the case continues to unfold as the court
determines his fate. Fans and industry watchers are eagerly awaiting the next legal developments in yet another devasting case involving an artist.
