Actress and Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey reportedly had a restraining order issued against rapper DDG, her former boyfriend and the father of her son Halo. Many are shocked by the Halle Bailey abuse allegations and restraining order, seems no one more than his mother.
According to the Associated Press, Bailey, 25, alleges in her complaint that DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., 27, physically and mentally abused her throughout their relationship.
She talked about one such incident in January, prompting the restraining order.
Bailey said that during the dropoff and the exchange of their 17-month-old son, Halo, things turned violent between the two. DDG repeatedly called Bailey a b**** as she was trying to put her son in a car seat.
“The next thing I knew, things got physical between us,” Bailey said. “We fought each other, wrestling and tussling. At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped. I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain.”
Bailey showed pictures of her abuse in the documents that she filed. She also documented other forms of abuse such as threatening messages and having his fans come after her when he goes online claiming that she won’t allow him to see their son.
“Throughout our relationship,” Bailey said in documents requesting the order, “Daryl has been and continues to be physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive towards me. I am seeking orders to protect myself and our son Halo from his ongoing abuse.”
“Whenever he wishes to cause upset, he starts bad-mouthing me to his several million fans,” she said in the documents. “He claims I am withholding our son and that I am with other men. As a result, I then receive threats and hate on social media.”

The couple started dating in January 2022 when they were spotted together at an Usher concert in Las Vegas. Not long after, Bailey became pregnant with their son. When Bailey announced her pregnancy, it shocked many of her fans because she had hidden it.
Since their breakup last year, DDG has constantly harassed Bailey via social media with streaming videos, claiming that she wouldn’t allow him to see their son, which prompted many of his fans to harass her online.
Last year, Bailey had to deactivate her Instagram account because she was receiving a large number of harassing messages.
Bailey has seemingly grown tired of her former boyfriend’s antics and decided to fight back, and while many fans are on her side, DDG has several people, including his mother, standing with him despite the allegations of abuse

DDG’s mother posted on social media that she had been silenced for too long and that it was time for her to speak out.
“I don’t usually comment or say anything on this internet, even with all the negativity, the lies, and hatred towards mine,” she said.
DDG’s mother has stood by her son throughout all the allegations, but this is the first time Bailey has given intimate details about their current and past relationship.
