Haitian is back after over 50 years in the 2026 World Cup championship. The team recently made it to the World Cup after qualifying by beating Honduras, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. This will be their second appearance at the World Cup. They beat Nicaragua 2 -0 to qualify for the final on Nov 18, 2025.
Hiati has had a rough time these past few years, ranging from serious gang crimes, instability, and natural disasters. They have seen more health crises than in previous years, with widespread fear among citizens. Due to these issues, Haiti’s men’s team could not play any home games in the country. Their home games were played in the neighboring nation, Curaçao, in Willemstad.
The team’s head coach, Sébastien Migné, has also been affected by the insecurity in the country and has never stepped into the country despite being the team’s coach. The team was unable to practice in their home stadium, which was a hindrance to their performance; however, they turned it into a motivator for them.
The 2026 National Haitian men’s team is Placide, Lacroix, Delcroix, Adé, Arcus, Pierre, Bellegarde, Providence, Casimir, Deedson, Pierrot.
Substitutions: Duverger, Pierre, Expérience, Lambese, Métusala, Thermoncy, Attys, Sainté, Etienne, Nazon, Pacius.
