Antonio Brown arrest details

Further investigations revealed more about his arrest, that the former athlete had tried to shoot a man fatally.

The victim and Brown got into a physical altercation after the boxing match. The alleged victim told the police that Brown pulled the trigger on a gun he got from the security, with a bullet grazing his neck. On November 6, Brown was arrested in Dubai following a nearly five-month search.

What are Antonio Brown allegations?

The shooting took place outdoors at Adin Ross’ boxing event in Miami on May 16, 2025. Brown was identified as a prime suspect in the incident following a full statement given to the police on May 21, 2025. Brown is said to have collected a handgun from the security guard, eventually shooting two shots, with one hitting the victim. The victim, who was shot, was identified as Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu.

Afterwards, a judge in Miami‑Dade County ruled that Brown be arrested. The indictment against Antonio Brown includes a second‑degree attempted murder with a firearm charge.

Antonio Brown’s potential sentence explained.

Brown’s legal representative, Mark Eiglarsh, shares that the former NFL player acted out of survival instinct after being put in a defensive position. Eiglarsh explained, “The actions he was forced to take were solely in self-defense against the alleged victim’s violent behavior. Brown was attacked that night and acted within his legal right to protect himself.”

Antonio Brown faces a potential 15-year prison sentence for the second-degree attempted murder charge. In Florida, he could get jail time of up to 15 years and a fine of $10k if convicted. If the firearm usage is included in the charges, he could end up getting up to 30 years.

The star is taking a not guilty plea stance and is currently on a GPS ankle monitor while awaiting trial. He was released from being held in Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami on a $25k bond on November 13, 2025.
