The NAACP Image Awards honor Black artists who make strong stories, music and performances. These awards celebrate talent, heart, courage, and inspiration. The nominees for the 57th NAACP Image Awards have been revealed, and we are looking at the top stars who have won the most awards, making them the biggest winners of all time.

Over the years, many Black artists have won many times, leaving work that inspires people for years. Here are some of the biggest NAACP Image Awards winners and why their work deserves these awards.

Beyoncé ~ 32 wins

Beyoncé is one of the most celebrated artists at the NAACP Image Awards. She has around 32 wins, one of the highest ever. Her music tells strong stories about life, strength and pride.

Songs like “Formation” and albums like “Lemonade ” show personal and shared experiences. She has won Outstanding Album and Outstanding Female Artist many times. Even though Beyoncé isn’t nominated this year, her music still influences artists and fans.

Denzel Washington ~ 18 wins

Denzel Washington is a famous actor. He has around 18+ NAACP Image Awards. He is known for acting with honesty, strength, and feeling.

Denzel makes every character real, from movies like Training Day to Fences, His work shows that Black stories matter and can touch everyone.  This year, Denzel is nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for Highest 2 Lowest. His acting shows why he has earned so many awards he doesn’t just act, he becomes the character.

Whitney Houston ~ 19 wins

Whitney Houston was one of the greatest singers ever. She won 19 NAACP Image Awards for her songs and albums. Her voice was full of feeling and could lift anyone’s spirit.

She also acted in movies like The Bodyguard, where her singing touched hearts. Even though she has passed away, her music still inspires people. Her wins show her greatness lasts forever.

 

Angela Bassett ~ 12 wins

Angela Bassett has won over 12 Image Awards. She brings strength, feeling and courage to every role. She plays real heroes and strong women in ways that touch people. Her work in What’s Love Got to Do With It and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is praised by fans. She makes every story feel alive.

This year, Angela is nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for “9‑1‑1” and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited TV Movie for “Zero Day” Her nominations show she still shines as one of the most inspiring actors today.

Viola Davis ~ 10 wins

Viola Davis has won about 10 NAACP Image Awards. She brings real feeling to every role. People admire her because her stories feel true.

From Fences to How to Get Away with Murder, Viola plays characters with strength, hope and pride. This year, Viola was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Limited Television for “G20.” She shows again why people love her work.

Kendrick Lamar has won at least 5 NAACP Image Awards. His music talks about life, struggle and community. People listen and feel what he says.

His songs reach both young and older fans. Kendrick’s wins honor his music and the messages he shares. This year, Kendrick is nominated for Entertainer of the Year and Outstanding Male Artist for his song “luther”. His nominations show he is still one of the most important voices in music.
