Dreaming about something, talking about it, and doing it are three totally different things. We watch a lot of movies where some band or some artist goes to a bar, sings a song, and before you know it, they’re rolling in mountains of cash. The truth is, it is not that easy. There are two parts to the music industry; the music, and the industry. You could be making amazing music but, have no means of marketing yourself which is guaranteed to leave you with nothing. Music promotion is a big part of this industry.

On the other hand, you could have an amazing publicity team and mediocre musical skill and make it in the industry. The point is, you need to publicize yourself; people and art hubs need to know you exist, which can be pretty hard in itself; and that is while taking into consideration the million other citizens of the world trying to make it in the industry. Especially for Spanish artists, making it can be tough since, there are already unrealistic high expectations. So, to help you get your foot in the door of UK’s Radio and TV channels we laid out a few strategies that you could use.

Stand Out

Stand Out with music promotionNow, this seems like an obvious strategy; however, it isn’t like what it seems. To get noticed by producers, you need to stand out from the fifty other wannabes who have sent in the same e-mail that you did. It’s not about how many e-mails you send, it’s about what is in the e-mails. Channels operate on viewer ratings; if you are going to attract viewers, they are going to put out your work. This is why you need to prove that you are different.

Hire Professionals

You can always use the aid of https://www.musicgateway.com/music-promotion, among other websites. These companies most likely have connections with people from the industry which can make everything easier for you. While hiring professionals may cost more, it may prove to yield much better results than what you would have done on your own.

Use the Social Media Bridge

Social Media Bridge for music promotionProducers, like any other person, use social media apps. Most importantly, they use them for research; to know what attracts people; what’s in demand. One of the creative ways to make your way into TV and Radio is to start building an online fan base. If it gets big enough, you will become more easily noticed by producers. Even if they don’t approach you, if they decide to check out your contact information from one of the e-mails that you’ve sent, there’s always a higher chance they would pick you over someone with no social media presence.

Getting noticed is not an easy thing to do. Maybe it was in the past because music was still a novel art form. Now, on the contrary, it is a lot different. There are a lot of people who want to become the new Spice Girls. This is why you need to be patient with yourself. If you’re good, your big break will come, one way or another. There is absolutely no need to stress out. Plus, it is important that you remember what music is really about; it’s not the fame.
