Chicago rap legend Chief Keef has finally unleashed his highly anticipated album, “Almighty So 2.” The follow-up to his influential 2013 mixtape arrives over a decade later and boasts 16 tracks brimming with Keef’s signature sound.
Entirely self-produced under his birth name, Keith Cozart, “Almighty So 2” promises a raw and unfiltered return to form. While Keef steers the sonic direction, the album benefits from the creative vision of John Ross and Casimir Spaulding. Idris Dykes joins Cozart on executive production, ensuring a cohesive project.
Fans eager for guest appearances won’t be disappointed. The album features a carefully curated selection of collaborators, including Atlanta’s Migos member Quavo, Chicago’s G Herbo, the genre-bending Tierra Whack, and rising star Sexyy Red.
Rounding out the credits are Sophic Kautz for A&R, Peter Francis Munzo and Neck for mixing duties, and Isaiah Brown for mastering. Whether “Almighty So 2” lives up to the hype remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: Chief Keef is back, and he’s brought some friends along for the ride.
