Joe Budden, Royce Da 5’9 & Joell Ortiz Jump On Live To Air Out The New Slaughterhouse Project

We knew this was coming… but this is terrible for Hip-Hop.  Joell Ortiz and KXNG Crooked released the second single from their upcoming album, Rise and Fall of Slaughterhouse. On the new song, “Backstage,” Joell and Crooked reveal the most they have yet about the behind the scenes of the Slaughterhouse team.  And it definitely comes off as a diss track aimed at Joe Budden and Royce Da 5’9, while “Vacancy,” the lead single, sounded more like a chance to give the team their flowers one last time. Hours after the release Royce Da 5’9 took to Instagram live to clear the air somewhat about the project and the record.  Before the night was over the Slaughterhouse Instagram live had Royce, Joe Budden and Joell Ortiz arguing about who’s truth was more real.

“It’s no use to having discourse if it’s not going to be rooted in truth,” Royce said, after the Joell Ortiz left the live.  “The truth is just the truth,” he continued.
