Kendrick Lamar Releases a Surprise Album, untitled unmastered

The trend is real.  And it looks like Kendrick Lamar is the latest artist to drop a surprise project, with his new project, untitled unmastered.  The eight song project already appears on the  Spotify streaming service.  While neither Kendrick or anyone on TDE has confirmed the project, it makes sense because a couple days ago, TDE CEO Anthony Tiffith revealed he’d be dropping a surprise project from someone in the TDE crew at some point this week.  Kendrick’s untitled unmastered makes perfect sense.

untitled unmastered comes almost a year to the date since his release of To Pimp A Butterfly.  The tracks are purposed untitled with just dates, but it’s reasonable to assume that it will feature some of the untitled content he has performed recently, including part of his Grammy 2016 performance and a recent performance on The Colbert Report and Jimmy Fallon.
