OOOOUUU!!! Cardi B Joins Being Mary Jane Cast For Season 4

Crazy Cardi is definitely raking in some ‘crazy cash’. The Love & Hip Hop: New York cast member recently secured a role on BET’s hit show, Being Mary Jane—which stars veteran actress, Gabrielle Union. Can you believe it??? According to TheGrapeJuice.net, the VH1 reality star Cardi B joins Being Mary Jane cast and will portray a character named Mercedes, an outspoken round-the-way girl with big assets and an even bigger personality.

Being Mary Jane will be Cardi B’s first major TV role, and her biggest move since joining the Love & Hip Hop family. The 24-year-old rapper shot up the network’s (VH1) ratings in season six, when she made her debut onto Love & Hip Hop: New York, dating fellow cast member and producer, DJ Self.

With her exotic look, unapologetic ratchetness, and downright rawness, Cardi B became one of the ‘most liked’ characters on the show. Her social media following skyrocketed, as did her rap career. The Bronx native holds a total of five million followers on Instagram and over three hundred thousand followers on Twitter. Her mixtape, Gangsta B—Music Volume 1, caused great chaos back in April of this year. Her newest project, Underestimated Tour Album, a collaboration project dropped back in September.

Despite Gabrielle Union’s legal battles with BET, Being Mary Jane will—in fact, be premiering the coming January of 2017.

As for Love & Hip Hop: New York, it’s pretty evident that that show isn’t going anywhere either. The show returns with its seventh season, premiering November 21st at 8/7c.
