Meet The Actresses of The Hit Show, “STAR’ | Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O’Grady

The new Fox television show, Star, is going to be airing soon and people are dying to know more about the new, young stars in the lead roles.  Star is about a young, troubled girl by the name of Star who embarks on adulthood and her quest to music stardom. The three fresh faces are none other than Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O’Grady.

Jude Demorest will be playing the lead role of Star, a troubled 18-year-old girl who, after the death of her mother, was in an out of foster homes. The show follows her and her climb up the difficult and cut throat music industry as she strives to become the Star she was made to be.   She decides to form a trio with a girl she meets on instagram and her younger sister who she has to get out of foster home.

Jude Demorest is a singer, actress and songwriter from Detroit, Michigan. You may have seen her in movies such as History of Made Up Things (2009), Axiom (2015), and Bad Moms (2016) starring Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell.  Her breakout role came by way of the tv series Dallas in 2014.  She is a Caucasian actress, which is a bit of a surprise considering the role and the Lee Daniels involvement, however she is good on the eyes and extremely talented.

Jude was signed to CAA talent agency after landing the role on STAR.

Ryan Destiny who plays the role of wealthy, 20-year-old, Alexandra, the daughter of Lenny Kravitz’s character.  She is the songwriter of the group on the television show.  Her love interest on the show is played by Quincy Brown, Kim Porter’s son with Al B Sure and Diddy’s adopted son.

In real life Ryan is a singer who is a part of the girl group trio, Love Dollhouse. The members all have separate YouTube channels where they frequently sing covers to songs. She also plays the role of April Geddes in the show Low Winter Sun which airs on AMC. She played alongside Raven Symone and Megan Goode in the movie A Girl Like Grace (2015).

Ryan is 18 years old, turning 19 this coming January.  The daughter of a singer, Ryan is uniquely suited to play the role of Alexandra.

Brittany O’Grady takes on the role of Simone.  Simone is 16 years old on the show,  and she plays Star’s mixed younger sister.  However, she has issues with alcohol and marijuana addiction, understandable given the trauma she has gone through in the foster case system.

Brittany O’Grady is a Washington area theater star who has been a performer since she was just 4 years-old. She has been on television and in print ads. She can dance, sing, act—you name it, she’s done it all. She has made special guest appearances on ABC’s Trophy Wives and Investigation Discovery’s Tabloid.  Her breakout role was on CW’s The Messengers, but STAR will push her into the limelight for real.
