26 years ago, AZ cemented his name in Hip-Hop with the release of the critically acclaimed album, Doe or Die. In the years since he has proved himself to be a formidable rapper in any circle with Nas, including on their collaboration as The Firm. Now, 10 years since his last album release, AZ returns with Doe or Die II. The AZ Doe or Die II album will be released on September 10th.
“It’s been a decade since I released a full body of work, but Doe or Die 2 is just what the doctor ordered,” AZ explained. “With the help of Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, T-Pain, The Alchemist, Conway the Machine, Dave East, Pete Rock, Bink, Buckwild, Kaygee, Heatmakerz, Rockwilder, Baby Paul, and a few others; I’m going to deliver an entree like no other.”
The lead single is produced by Kaygee, who is a legend in his own right, from his Naughty-By-Nature days and beyond. The song features Jahiem, one of many features on the project, and somewhat of a comeback to the spotlight for the singer after years or rumors. The song is titled, “The Wheel.”
