Thoughts and prayers are with Hip-Hop legend, DJ Kay Slay. According to multiple reports and friends on social media, the legendary Hip-Hop DJ Kay Slay has died. The DJ and Hip-Hop legend was hospitalized since December with Covid-19 and it seems like the illness got the better of him. So sad to hear that Kay Slay has passed away.
The 55-year-old, DJ Kay Slay died on Easter Sunday (April 17).
Back on Wednesday, January 6th, Wack 100 took to instagram to reveal a DJ Kay Slay covid battle, sharing that the legendary deejay and advocate for the culture had been placed on a ventilator after 14 days. Wack also shared that it wasn’t looking good. Not a good sign.
Just a week before Kay Slay being hospitalized Raysean Autry, the co-founder of the popular Hip-Hop blog Kollege Kidd, passed away from COVID-19. His twin brother, Rich Autry, also a Kollege Kidd co-founder, also fought off the coronavirus in the hospital.
