Ciara sings for 300 Florida prisoners… and we just can’t seem to get enough!
A recent surprise visit by Ciara and her spouse Russell Wilson to a maximum security prison demonstrates one innovative way they have found to give back. The visit saw Ciara perform for Florida prisoners among other activities.
The couple stopped by Florida’s Everglades Correctional Institution to assist in leading a prayer with 300 male prisoners. In a video shared by God Behind Bars (the group that organized the trip), the Denver Broncos star quarterback and the “Goodies” songstress appeared to be wholly enwrapped in the experience.
The nonprofit facilitates connections between incarcerated people and their families and a neighboring church. Another section of the video showed Russell reading a few verses from the Holy Book before Ciara sang to the audience.
On Friday (March 10), a non-profit rep posted on Instagram: “27 incarcerated men gave their lives to Jesus inside of a maximum security prison. 300 incarcerated men filled the prison chapel to hear a word from @dangerusswilson. He opened the night in Isaiah, ‘Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.’ – Isaiah 43:19.”

The representative went on: “In a place so easily filled with so much division, there was a moment where Incarcerated men put their arms around each other and prayed for those struggling with anxiety and depression. After @ciara sang WAYMAKER, men came to the front and wept, giving their lives to Jesus.”
This isn’t the first time the power couple has volunteered their time to help others. According to the New York Post, Ciara and Russell Wilson dropped by a Children’s hospital in 2022 merely a few days after he was traded from the Seahawks to the Broncos.
Russell and Ciara started dating seven years ago and got married two years into their relationship.
Ciara has credited her breakup with ex-fiance Future for furnishing her with the clarity required to shape her down-the-road endeavors.
