Jada Pinkett Smith‘s web-based discussion show Red Table Talk may have been cancelled recently by Facebook, but the “Jason’s Lyric” actress hasn’t threw in the towel on the idea just yet.
According to CNN, Facebook Watch Originals will not be renewed for a second season as the site is phasing down the creation of original content. Pinkett Smith has, however, acknowledged that she is seeking for a new venue for the concert.
On Thursday, via Instagram Pinkett Smith shared, “We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch and we are sorry to see the entire team disbanded. We wish everyone well in their new journeys to come.”
Along with her daughter Willow Smith and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, Pinkett Smith co-hosts the program. The three ladies furthered: “We at Red Table are in talks of finding a new home and we’ll see you soon.”

Facebook Cancelled Red Table Talk To Revamp
On May 7, 2018, Red Table Talk made its debut. It lasted for 129 episodes and five seasons.
The program was advertised as “a forum where the perspectives of three different generations on a wide variety of topics are shared.” Celebrity guests and prominent personalities on the program included Don Lemon, Matthew McConaughey, and Sandra Bullock.
The episode is most likely known for an emotional discussion between Pinkett Smith and her husband, Will Smith, in which they talked about their marriage and Pinkett Smith’s affair with R&B star August Alsina, which she deemed “an entanglement.”
Additionally, Pinkett Smith addressed the infamous incident from the 2022 Academy Awards in which her husband smacked Chris Rock after the latter made a joke about her bald head.
