Born Natasha Lynn Aronson on November 19th, 1985 in Chicago, IL, Mzkoolaid learned at an early age that she had a love for music. She would walk around the house with her walkman and headphones singing Whitney Houston songs at the top of her lungs, but she was quickly introduced to Tupac, and Bone Thugs -N- Harmony thereafter, and fell in love with Rap, and Hip-Hop.
In the 9th grade of high school, her English teacher told her that she had a gift which helped her realize that music was her passion and the Entertainment Industry was her destiny.
In 2004 she graduated high school. After a hiatus from school she attended Full Sail University in 2008, and pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Business. During that time she began writing, and rapping for fun, just for the love of it, but when people heard her rhyme, they suggested she pursue it as a career, and so she began to take it seriously. She has taken a leave of absence from school, due to financial issues, and other obligations, but she plans to return in the fall of 2011. For now, the music is paying dividends, already receiving offers for collabos and shows. She has caught the eye of booking agents and managers, but currently is a one-woman army.
She has upcoming performances, and shows lined up in Chicago, IL and the midwest. She recently headlined her first show and she just completed her first project, a Mixtape entitled, Koolaid & Collard Greens hosted by Chicago’s own, DJ Smoke. It’s scheduled to be released February 2011.
