For the past 4 years we’ve released the annual Parlé Urban Literature Guide for release in conjunction with the Harlem Book Fair which includes the official program for the Book Fair in the special issue.  This year not only are we releasing the special issue in July but we’re releasing 2 versions of the Urban Literature Guide, with the first to be released in June for the 1st ever DMV Literary Expo.  The DMV Expo takes place Saturday June 18th through Sunday June 19th.
The DMV Literary Expo anticipates attendance of hundreds of readers in the DMV area.  Parlé’s Urban Literature Guide provides those attending with not only the official program of the days’ events, but it also offers a look at some of the authors present, reviews of some of the books as well as interviews with some of the most prolific names the genre has to offer.  Parlé is handed out FREE OF CHARGE to the authors and patrons of the fair all day throughout the event & at the Parlé booth.
We will also be providing gift bags exclusively at our table for the patrons of the fair.  The bags will feature recent issues of the magazine, as well as bookmarks, flyers and other giveaways.
Past issues of the Urban Literature Guide have featured Michele Fletcher, Relentless Aaron, Teri Woods, Zane, Vickie Stringer, Miasha, K’wan, Evie Rhodes, Wahida Clark, and many many more.
