Rise of the Planet of the Apes movie review

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a prequel to the Planet of the Apes movie made in 1968 (which, by the way, I am a huge fan of). It tells the story of how the apes became so mature, how they got to understand and even speak the human language, and how they took over Earth.
The 2011 Apes was as good as I suspected it to be. Which wasn’t very good. It had its strong points, like the special effects, acting, etc. However; it also had its weak points. Remember the Disney Tarzan movie, when Tarzan is swinging in the trees and you see him growing up? Apes ripped it. Remember in Aladdin when the monkey was speaking in its little monkey language and Aladdin used it to compliment Jasmine? Apes ripped it. There were many instances like this, and it greatly disappointed me.
Overall though, it was an alright film. Not too great, but not bad. And unless you’re a big Planet of the Apes fan like I am, it’s not worth seeing in theaters.
