Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have been taking a lot of flack for not being Hip-Hop enough, and for appropriating Black culture. But they continue to make an effort to appeal to Hip-Hop legends and it seems like they have the approval of two more legends with their latest track, “Buckshot.” The track features KRS-One on a verse and DJ Premier with his classic cuts on the track.
Is this track going to be enough to stop the backlash and show that they are serious about Hip-Hop? Guess we’ll see when Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ upcoming album, This Unruly Mess I’ve Made, hits stores on February 26. Listen to “Buckshot” below…
