Taking on the makeup industry with charm, beauty, faith, and a great sense of humor, beauty guru Jackie Aina has already sold out of the second restock of her limited edition holiday highlighter La Bronze! The La Bronze holiday shade remarkably sold out within days of its initial release on December 2, 2016. This exclusive rose gold highlighter was in collaboration with makeup brand Artist Couture. The La Bronze highlighter is vegan and cruelty free. It was available for shipping worldwide. So sorry if you were not able to get your hands on this amazing collaborations for the holidays, neither was I! But selling out twice over a course of a few days each release is an amazing accomplishment for this respected Beauty Guru.
Jackie Aina has seen an overwhelming prospect of support, not only by her millions of subscribers, but through her fellow Youtubers. The support is much deserved considering her passion for inclusion. Ms. Aina has based her whole channel on the inclusion of darker skinned women, and has often stated her concerns in that aspect with the industry today. Often times in the beauty industry certain shades are regarded as less profitable; these shades range from the fairest complexion to the deepest complexion. On her channel, Ms. Aina regularly uncovers a variety of Brands, products, and techniques catering primarily to deeper shades, though of course her channel is not seclusive. It’s simply a means of reaching out to those who may walk into their local beauty supply store and feel left out.
Jackie Aina stated that in the process of making the La Bronze Highlighter she wanted to create a shade that complemented not just her own skin but other very deep skin tones as well. Judging by the overwhelming support on her 1st and 2nd installment of the collection it is safe to say that there is a market out there for the “less profitable” complexion.
