Diddy and 50 Cent have a beef history that spans over 15 years. Additionally, the Diddy vs 50 Cent feud has evolved over the years, with the rappers constantly at odds, especially after Cent produced the new Netflix documentary, which added to the controversy. Let us dive into history and see how their relationship turned sour.

One thing is certain: 50 Cent is not someone you want to be on your tail. Back in October 2024, Cent reported that he had started gathering information on Diddy over a decade ago after having doubts about him. He affirmed, “It’s really me just saying what I’ve been saying for 10 years…Now it’s becoming more full-facing in the news with the Puffy stuff...”

What is the issue between Diddy and 50 Cent?

Diddy and 50 Cent have both been in the music industry since the 90s, and history has it, so has their decade-long beef. While everyone is curious as to what caused the feud between the two rappers, Diddy and 50 Cent have not confirmed anything themselves.

The bad blood between them dates back to 2006, with a diss track and Notorious B.I.G.’s murder in 1997. Cent accused Diddy in a diss track titled “The Bomb” of having his hands in the murder. However, experts assert that Cent might be wrong with his claims. While it might look like just a rap rivalry, Cent is not one to cross and is known for his pettiness.

In a 2018 interview, 50 Cent previously shared that Combs made him feel a “little uncomfortable” following a conversation where Combs asked to take Cent shopping. He doubled down, saying, “He asked to take me shopping. I thought that was the weirdest s— in the world because that might be something that a man says to a woman,” he said. “And I’m just like, ‘Naw, I’m not f—— with this weird energy or weird s—,’ coming off the way he was just moving. From that, I wasn’t comfortable around him.”

Combs was asked to address Cents’ comments, and he denied any bad blood. Further claiming that Vent loved him. Eventually, Combs publicly expressed his desire to be friends with Cent and asked him. He said, “Yo, 50 please be my friend. 50 you’re breaking my heart. Curtis, please be my friend. Please.”

50 Cent made a documentary about P. Diddy. Following Diddy’s arrest late last year, Cent shared his plans to do a documentary on the legal issues. In addition, Cent shared that he had suspected Diddy’s involvement in shady business and started to collect evidence. Cent said in an interview, “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.”

The new documentary is titled Sean Combs: The Reckoning. It is based on real-life events surrounding rapper Diddy. Further, it details beyond the lights, cameras, and music, taking fans behind the scenes of what happens in Diddy’s life and empire when the cameras are off.

In addition, Cent included unreleased footage of Sean Combs from when he was arrested last year. Cent is credited as an executive producer, and the docuseries is available on Netflix. It premiered on Dec 2, 2025.

Is Sean Combs: The Reckoning real?

Sean Combs: The Reckoning is a four-part documentary series. Diddy’s team issued a statement labeling the docuseries as “shameful,” given that the Cent included real-life footage. Additionally, they claim the videos were “unauthorized” by Diddy or his team for release and are taking the matter up with Netflix.
