New Mixtape, Burn My Name Teams Ray J & Chris Brown

L.A. residents Ray J and Chris Brown have joined forces for the release of a new surprise mixtape, which they unveiled earlier this week, titled, Burn My Name.  The 9 track project finds the R&B singers going back and forth on a majority of tracks, with features from a couple of their affiliated acts.

Prior to the mixtape, Ray J and Chris Brown teamed up on a song titled “Famous” last year, which took shots at Kanye West and his “Famous” music video.  Ray J and Chris Brown’s “Famous” also appears on the mixtape.

It makes sense that Ray J and Chris Brown would soon team up together again.  When you take a step back, they have had similar stories outside of the music.  Ray J of course was linked to Kim Kardashian in a previous life.  He has since settled down with Princess Love.  Chris Brown on the other hand was linked to Rihanna before things went all the way left, and then was link with Karreuche, until that went sour as well.

More recently Chris Brown has been promoting his documentary, Welcome To My Life, which was released in theaters this month.  His new album, Privacy is also coming soon.

No word on Ray J’s upcoming new album, but he’s said to be working on it.  His last solo single, “Closed Curtains” was released early last year.
