Top Dawg Entertainment’s SiR has released the visual to his song “Something Foreign” featuring ScHoolboy Q. SiR’s much-anticipated new full-length project is due out January 19, 2018. “Something Foreign” is the lead single.
If you have not heard the Inglewood native before it is time to check him out. He first made a name for himself under the radar by writing for everyone from Kendrick Lamar, Isaiah Rashad, and Jay Rock to Stevie Wonder, Anita Baker, Jill Scott, and Jazzy Jeff.
In 2015 when SiR released his Seven Sundays album he was able to get a little light on his career. He followed up with the HER EP series—HER and HER TOO—and his little light began to shine brighter. He spent last year piecing together his forthcoming new album, which builds upon the promise of his early material and showcases his powerhouse voice and songwriting on full display like never before.
“Something Foreign” highlights his sultry voice and offers promise for what’s to come on the forthcoming album.
SiR also revealed another single, “Something New” featuring Etta Bond a few weeks ago. Listen to the track below:
