Straight Facts On Odell Beckham Jr.!
Odell Beckham Jr. has become a household name, on and off of the football field.
After attending Louisiana State University and playing with the college’s team, the LSU Tigers, Beckham was drafted 12th overall by the New York Giants in the 2014 NFL Draft. Oddly, his parents went to that very same school, where his mother ran track and his father served as a running back during the ’90s.
During his first season with the Giants, the Baton Rouge, Louisiana native broke a number of NFL newbie records, including being crowned the first player to record more than 75 receptions, 1,100 yards, and 10 touchdowns and obtain the most average receiving yards per game.
Solidifying his spot even more, in 2016, Odell Beckham Jr. was even deemed the fastest player in NFL history to reach both 200 career receptions and 4,000 career receiving yards. That same year, along with recording his first 100-reception season, Beckham also made the playoffs, after helping the Giants to an 11-5 season record. He was then named to the Pro-Bowl in three consecutive seasons and has held the title of a second-team All-Pro twice.
Since then, of course, he’s seen many more accomplishments.
As of August 2018, the widely-known wide receiver signed a five-year $95-million-dollar contract extension with the New York Giants.
