Verzuz is playing hard on nostalgia with this one. R&B veterans, Case and Carl Thomas are from an era where R&B was dominant. Now, they find themselves facing off in a one-on-one no one really saw coming, but the door opened up for it after the Joe vs Donell Jones Verzuz, as both were mentioned as potential opponents that could have faced Donell.
Nonetheless, here we are. We’ve previously featured both Case and Carl Thomas with interviews, albeit over a decade ago for each. Case last released an album in 2018, his Therapy album. Meanwhile, Carl Thomas hasn’t released an album since 2011’s Conquer.
