In a viral footage currently circulating the internet, Jennifer Hough recants her sexual assault accusation against Nicki Minaj’s husband who got convicted of attempted rape, after which he served 4.5 years in prison. As of now, this is all unverified and thus alleged.
Here’s some back story:
Jennifer Hough previously accused Kenneth Petty of sexually assaulting her back in 1994 when she was reportedly 16 years old. In the viral video we see Jennifer talking to a man whose identity could not be ascertained from the Facetime video recording.
“When the judge asked, does anybody have anything to say before [Kenneth] is sentenced? I stood up, and I said, your honor, I’m the person who pressed the charges. I would like to drop the charges, I made a huge mistake. I’m in court, in front of his family, in front of friends, in front of everybody and they was like “take it to the DA,” nobody wanted to hear sh*t,” she says in the video.
Trying to verify what Jennifer said, the man in the footage asked, “…you recanted your story, you told them it never happened xyz, you was young, you was pressured, correct right?” Jennifer then responded, “correct.”
As expected, the viral video has triggered so much attention and rants on Twitter. While a few Twitter users claim she might have been paid because Jennifer Hough had in 2021 filed a lawsuit against the couple alleging that Kenneth and Nicki attempted to intimidate her into recanting her story; other concerned users including the Barbz have “#JusticeForThePettys” trending under the argument that Jennifer has cost Kenneth and the couple so much harm by her accusation.
